Important information
The following information is to help you understand our procedures and charges. Please read them through before taking out a policy. More detailed information is available in our Terms Of Business.
Quote
Please make sure that the details you give us when requesting a quote are as full and accurate as possible at the time. Any inaccuracies, misleading or omitted information may affect your cover and create a problem if you need to make a claim. If you are unsure, ask us for guidance.
Documentation
It’s important that you quickly send us any additional documents that we request. E.g. a copy of your driving licence or the proof of no-claims bonus with your previous insurer.
Statement of Fact:
The Statement of Fact (SOF) has replaced the Proposal Form and Additional Drivers Form. The SOF forms the basis of the contract between the policyholder(s) and the Insurance Company, this must be checked thoroughly and we must be informed of any errors or missions immediately.
Driving Licences:
A copy of each driver's licence is required as part of the contract. The policy documentation will not be delayed where one or more copy licences are outstanding but policyholders should be aware that we reserve the right to obtain outstanding copy licences at any time, especially before dealing with any claim.
Experience Discount:
We reserve the right to request documentary evidence of insurance history, particularly where we have allowed any form of Experience or No Claims Discount from the premium. The policyholders may be required to provide this evidence at any point during the life of the policy.
Fees
In addition to your insurance premium, there are some other costs to be added. You’ll see these in detail on your quotation.
IPT:
The Government’s Insurance Premium Tax, currently 5%.
Policy charge:
An annual £30 fee for the administration and paperwork involved.
Instalment fee:
We offer interest free instalments.

If you need to make a change or adjustment to your policy during the year, there is a small administration charge for doing this plus the increase in premium levied by the insurer.

(it’s not possible to add temporary additional drivers or make a refund for a driver removed) |

Cancellation:
If either you or Road Runner cancel the policy before the end of the year, a refund of the premium is usually made. How much this is, and what charge is made, varies according to each case. It will be fully explained to you at the time and detailed in your policy wording.
Complaints:
Road Runner works hard to make sure its customers are happy. If you’ve got a problem, you should first let our Managing Director know and they will try to sort it out.
Your policy contains full details of the options available to you if we are not able to resolve a complaint to your satisfaction.
Road Traffic Act:
Don’t forget that it’s illegal to drive or keep a vehicle on a public road without a valid cover note or certificate of insurance. The minimum legal requirement is Third Party Only cover.
