We are delighted to be supporting Jake Hill in the upcoming British Touring Car Championship. As one of the most talented drivers on the BTCC grid, we’re looking forward to supporting Jake every lap of the way!

With the British Touring Car Championship ready to go on 1 August, we give you the lowdown on Jake Hill and his team MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square.

Jake is considered one of the most promising BTCC drivers, having started racing at just 14 years old. At the start of this year, Jake was welcomed into the British Racing Drivers’ Club’s BRDC Superstars line-up.

After an impressive 2019 season, racing for Trade Price Cars, Jake has joined the MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square team, founded by former F1 driver Mark Blundell. Having won at Knockhill last year, Jake is now considered a hot prospect in the world of touring cars.

What is the BTCC?

With a history dating back 60 years, the British Touring Car Championship is now a firm favourite for motorsport fans. Since its inception in 1958 it has attracted and captivated millions of fans around the world.

As its website states, “The British Touring Car Championship is one of the best-loved, most illustrious and famous motor racing championships in the world”.

ITV has agreed a long-term contract extension up until the end of 2022.

“So far we have had four sessions for BTCC – two at Silverstone and two at Snetterton. We have finished 1st, 2nd, 4th and 7th…so to be in the top ten every time fills me with a lot of confidence heading to Donington for race weekend one.” – Jake Hill
